Other SUV's in GX's price range you considered

Intermediate
considered X5, Q7, GL 450/Bluetec, Land Rover LR4 and Infinity.
In the German segment quickly knocked off X5 and Q7. Infinity is something my wife did not like it's too huge for her taste.
When we went for Land-Rover test drive the salesperson was so rude to us we just walked off, and I put a complaint to the company and no one called so decided never ever to even visit the showroom,
so the finals were GL VS GX. We went with the reliability factor and the best for the buck more. Fully configured GX premium was still 10-12K cheaper than the GL. GL does not have 4WD Hi and low setting, no real off road capabilities. Talked with few GL owners (co workers) and they were not happy with the trucks. Too many problems.
I know it's crap shoot when getting a car but I did not want to take a chance with my hard earned money. I already have a ISF and am very happy with the Lexus service too. Reliability wise Lexus is the best. there will be small issues but I hope no issues where the car stopped in the middle of the 4 lane freeway cause there are electrical issue. Then the car starts again in few seconds.
