Normal tapping from the valve lifters until they settle. That noise is actually not that loud compared to some other engines not to mention V-twin bike engines.

thank you very much for the help .. hope it's normal ..
just did more than 500 miles over 3 days mountain driving
steep / long uphill climbs .. S mode mainly shifting 4th to 3rd .. 2k -3 k rpm s then down again.. tried to "split" the load between engine revs / breaks ..
@3k miles on fresh AMSOIL SS 0W-20 ! to 3500 m..
i have to say this oil is impressive !!!!! ..
what you all think about it !? it's my first time using it
( despite my old age!!).. disregarding $$cost + it's a overkill for 5k oil changes .. disregard that ! what do you all
think of the oil performance + Long term use !??
what are the reasons ( others) stay away from it !?
and What's tge deal with ( rumors) it being bad for NA V8 ENGINE !?? I'd appreciate any comments
thank you ..

That’s actually not a normal noise and it sounds like you should check the timing cover in the front for leaks. That tick that fades away is from the lifters and low oil. Mine does not make that noise on start up , but I test drove one before that made that exact noise and ended up having to have the lifters replaced because it was leaking oil over time and they were running it with low oil.
