Not sure how the pre 2020 buttons are, but on our 2020, the heated steering wheel is hard to see while you drive. You have to look around the steering wheel to see it and turn it on. Very simple mod, removed the buttons and changed to order to make them a lot of usable.

 

in my 2015 model the OEM buttons seem hole specific. I tried to relocate the VSC to put an auxbeam switch mount and it would not fit in other locations.

mine were the same,, just press them a little harder and they all went in and clicked in place.
