'20+ #MTS malfunction

I was told it was an issue in the reporting system. They did not have my vehicle, strictly a software issue on Lexus' side.

New 2022 GX460, 56 miles on the odometer. Gotten this error twice in the driveway (dirt) when testing all the systems. It pops up on the infotainment screen. Doesn't seem to hinder operation, and clears quickly. App shows the error in the health report, then a refresh no longer shows it and the vehicle is healthy.

Anyone have any more details?

I have a 22 GX and had the same message within the first 500 miles on the odometer (around the Feb 22 timeframe - my GX was manufactured in Dec 21). Dealer didn’t find any faults or issues.

I haven’t seen the message again and I have around 7500 miles on the GX now.

Thanks. I messed with it last night more. Out of six H4 to L4 changes and driving it alerted twice. Seems random.

Having the same issue here. Dropped off at Lexus and I guess they reached out to Lexus Tech support who stated it’s basically “user error in selecting wrong terrain mode” However the issue popped up even when I went from 4hi to 4lo to 4hi w/o shifting out of neutral.

Everything functions as normal and seems to be a software bug with the entertainment system. However the error message is annoying. We need more people to complain for a fix to be issued.

Are you both still encountering this malfunction?

@Prado150 how about
you? Supposedly Lexus has not heard of this issue…

FYI, in a DIRT lot, I put mine in 4LO, and drove in full lock circles in each direction, right, then left several times. It hasn't happened again since.

‘20 Luxury here, I get this email also any time I shift the vehicle into 4LO. I get no error codes in the vehicle, everything appears to be functioning properly, 2 minutes later email comes over saying malfunction. Seems like I shouldn’t bother wasting my time at the dealer.

2023 GX. I also encountered this message when I switched into 4lo. I had it into Lexus today for the 1600 km inspection. In addition to getting them to change the oil and filter (and I'll be looking at the filter tonight to see how much metal is in it), I told them about the error message. They claimed to have fixed it by applying "Bulletin L-TCI-5613 for combination meter reprogram. We'll see if it appears again. Not sure how the Toyota Canada bulletin numbers relate to the US numbers but there must be some mapping.
