Just traded for a '14GX with factory roof rails and lexus cross bars. The rails sit so low on the roof that the Yakima SkyBox (maybe 5 years old) feet touch the roof. Any work arounds to give me some height?

 

I hear 5th gen 4runner cross bars work.

Personally our Thule box just barely clears. I have to keep the box elevated while tightening the clamps or else the hooks hit the roof. Once tightened there is about a 1/2" of clearance.

 

This Inno system is what I purchased to support our Skybox 21 a few years ago. It works beautifully but other members may know of something better that has come out in the past few years.
