I lowered my spare today and noticed I have total 17 small metal clips glued to the spare rim. If you look closely, you will see them and you don't need to lower spare.
A quick question, is this small metal clip meant for wheel rebalance? Thanks.
Thank you. Guess I shall take all these metal clips off the spare one day as I am sure they will all fall off over time. My GX is 2015 and I can easily pry one off with my hand today.
I am just curious when I swap out my stock tires with LTX defender at costco in a few months, will Costco tire center make use of these metal clips for balancing, if so I better save them for later applications. Each such clip has Fe/5 on it, it looks like they are OEM clips.
No need to save them as they are intended for one time use. I have found a few of these on my garage floor from my GX. Guess the wheel was not cleaned properly before they were stuck on :-/
