Default Dangyang kalite triple beam replica

Maybe I'm just getting old and these are for the new wave of GX modders who are going to take these off road beasts and start making street rigs? Bring on the underbody LED's, coffee can mufflers, and NOS!!! Or maybe a lowering kit?

First, I would like to say my a huge fan of GX*BoB YouTube channel. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have had the courage to purchase the triple beam replica headlights. That said, the set of headlights I purchased last month from Dangyang Kailite with a production date of 12/12/2020 have a completely different wiring setup, where there aren't any flimsy rubber caps and the DRL/switchback do not have light refraction and are smooth just like the nova series.

I believe the since GX*BoB was probably one of the first 460 owners to pull the trigger on the overseas/Alibaba replicas, he most likely has an older/original version of the headlights. Since then the design of the replica have gotten better. I'm extremely please with my headlights, but the fact if something goes wrong I'm most likely SOL!

As far as these new four beam headlights, I like them, I see it as companies are now recognizing that there is a space for creating and designing aftermarket parts for the 460 community. Yes they look different some may like the look and some of us might prefer the OEM look. The fact that they are state side, you are most likely receive better service, shorter wait times and less likely would have to pay for freight.

I added a few photos of the back of my headlights that stamped with a production date 12/12/2020.

Great point about the improved quality. Everyone should keep in mind that some of the original pioneers are usually dealing with Gen 0 or Gen 1 products and end up having to do a lot of modifications to make it work correctly. In reality the certain manufactures have made tremendous strides forward and offer completely plug and play solutions with no errors. Your photos do an excellent job of displaying that for anybody on the fence.

Hey guys, thought i'd chime in on a pretty old thread but i had to add the reasoning why the original aftermarket 3 projectors from china were sending out error codes to our diagnostic screens (remedied with a "decoder") The identical sets were made for 2 types of conversions. One for 2010-2013 conversion kits and one for 2014-2019 OEM remove and replace. People that were getting error messages were installing 2020 headlamp assemblies on their 2014-2019 were made for the 2010-2013 full front conversion kits. When folks started to complain about error messages, China realized the GX460 was not fully plug and play between all years, China took the "decoders/resistors" off the 2014-2019 assemblies and sent them to their customers to install. Half of the world was missing these extra decoders on their headlamps and half of us received headlamps with them already installed. I'm glad most everyone after me, received a good set of headlamps without going thru the headaches I've endured but it enabled me to learn more about the differences between the years.
By the way, Alpharex did finally release their Nova and Luxx series on their website for anyone interested to see what they look like. If you go halfway down their site, there is a video to show light output comparison between their headlamps and OEM. Pretty neat stuff.

For sure Bob, you blazed the path. Thanks for your dedication and beta testing on our behalf! Can’t say I wasn’t a bit nervous about ordering full update for my 2013 with LED tail lights as well as the headlights, grill and LED tail lights for my wife’s 17, plus shipping from over yonder. It worked though and my lights on the 17 were plug and play while the 13’s were not - but the tech support from the vendor walked me through the process and they work just perfectly. No codes whatsoever, ever.

Can you elaborate for others what extra you had to do for the headlights on your '13?

Thanks!

EDIT:

Some 14-19 pinout info

My 13 was a halogen model. From their wiring harness, I had to pull two of the wires out and put them into the factory receiver for the vehicle. This was for each side. Gifted is not a way to describe my electrical skills but, thankfully, their tech support person was very detailed and accommodating.

They asked me to send pictures of the plugs that my GX had, this was it.

They replied with these instructions.

And these.

These were the two that I pulled from the wiring harness and put them into this receiver. Secured them and everything worked, no error codes.

I created a thread to go over the basics of how the install went. In retrospect, I wish I had someone there to help with some of the work and that the parts came with instructions. Nonetheless, am very pleased with the outcome.

Not sure how many it takes but your post count is too low to allow for me to send a PM.

I bought from Alibaba. If you can send me a PM, I’ll send you the source. Was pleased with the vendor and love the finished product.

Not sure why I can't send PM's.. Maybe it's because I just signed up today. Is there any other way to get this information? Do you have instagram?
You had HID AFS headlights on your original set-up correct? Were your aftermarkets plug and play? I want to make sure that I get the correct lighting harness, etc..
Do you have a thread will part numbers, etc..
Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Yes I do have instagram although I do not use it. My 13 came as a halogen equipped model. I had aftermarket HIDs made for it from my factory lights. They came out awesome, incredibly bright but not blinding to oncoming traffic. The headlight builder is about 10 miles from me so I just left my car with him overnight and he did the work. They are plug and play. (They are in boxes in my garage.) I took those off with the update to the 2021 thatI I did over Christmas break.

The thread that goes over the13 to 21 update is at. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...l#post11208727

I’ll say that, while I really wanted to update it to the Prado 150 look, I could not get the kit for them delivered to the east coast as the seller that has them in Oregon does not ship here. I paid good bit for shipping so I just bought updates for my 2013 and 2017 to spread the shipping costs out. While the Prado look would have been awesome, I really love the 2021 GX look on it.

Hello,

I bought my 2020+ headlamps from Alibaba - chenglong hu of Danyang Kailite Auto Parts Co. and my "check headlight system" will not go away. I have plugged in all the necessary plug and the new headlamp works great. I have a 2017 gx460 premium with driver assist package. Is there a way I can get rid of this error, I tried looking on this forum for a solution but I may of missed it.

Everything is connected, from headlamp to turning signal lamps - am I missing something?

Thank you in advance!

This tells me you bought the 2020+ headlight assembly made for the 2010-2013 conversion that’s why your getting the wrong resistance requirement for the 2014+ GX’s. Ask the seller for the decoder that’s supposed to come with it. Alpharex headlights come with the decoder already built into the headlights to prevent the error message. I have a video on this subject in YouTube.
