Default Opening tailgate closes garage door

About once a week, opening the tailgate on my 2017 GX 460 after pulling into the garage will trigger homelink and close the garage door.

Doesn’t happen every time, but enough for us to realize we aren’t going crazy.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? Thanks, Mike

I haven't seen that one reported anywhere else.

OP: What garage door opener are you using?

Delete the garage door from the GX Homelink and use the factory garage door opener for a few weeks to verify this problem is coming from the GX.

Since there is no power opening option for GX swing tail door, I serious doubt that will have any relationship to your garage door opener. Just a wild thought, you didn’t drop a held held garage door opener somewhere in the area near the tail swing door and when you open the swing door and some how pressed button on the opener.....

Another wild theory, closing the tailgate causes a shock through the cabin and causes a loose home link button to think that you pressed it. Try closing tailgate very softly many times to see if this could be a valid theory.
