Clear bra
Hey guys,
im looking to put ppf on the front bumper and headlights on my MY20 GX.
so far, I got quoted $800 and $950 for it, has anyone else done it? What prices did you pay for it?
secondly, I’m looking to get the windows tonite too, I got quoted $180 for standard and $300 for the ceramic,
is the ceramic the way to go or should I stick with standard firm?
thanks

I got my "partial" PPF installed about 2 months ago. Covers half the hood, half the fenders, entire front bumper and mirror caps. paid $650 and they did an excellent job. Had the same place do my window tint, got the ceramic for $250 and I am glad I went with ceramic especially for the little one in the back. Makes a huge difference, especially in Phoenix.
Front bumper and headlights only? No hood, fenders?
FWIW, I had clear bra on mine done back in 2015 at the dealership and paid around $1400 (yes, i know it's probably 25% more than using a non-dealer vendor) for Hood/bumper/fenders/mirrors/door cups.

for PPF my advice is not to wait, especially if you are still driving the vehicle. in my opinion the gx paint is soft and chips easily. I got my gx ppf but do not recall at this time what i paid. I got the entire car ceramic coated and ppf installed
I paid $450 for full front bumper (partial hood was already done). $100 for both headlights. $100 for rear bumper.
I am going to go back in a few months and re-do the hood. the stock clear mask is starting to yellow and look bad. I am guessing it will be around $250
one piece of advice. do a LOT of research on the shop. I tried to save a few bucks and went to tint my ride on parker road in Colorado, huuuuuge mistake. they were awful awful awful. check BBB, check yelp reviews and make sure they are all recent reviews and they've been in business for awhile. I found out this company was harassing people on yelp to remove their reviews. the positive ones were old. they were only on BBB for a year too. turns out they shut down shop and opened up with a new name. learn from my mistake and find a great reputable shop. and check out the kind of cars they do. this is one of the best investments you will make on your car too. keeps it looking nice for several years.
for those in Colorado IDS tint in littleton is hands down the best shop for tint and paint protection.

The shop I’m using, they did my sport 4 years ago, front bumper, headlights and tint. And so far is holding up pretty good, no peel.
The other thing, I had a front windows done with normal tint, I’m thinking about switching that to ceramic also and removed the ones it has on right now. That way it would be ceramic all around, or should I leave with front with regular tint?
