those images do not show any "corrosion" you could easily spray whats there with some rust neutralizer and coat it it fluid film and never think about it again.
Ok, thanks all…I’m a Floridian. I don’t ever see rust underneath unless the vehicle was used on the beach. It didn’t seem to be to me but certainly more than I’m used to.
So, looking for some ideas….or confirmation on my plan. Was going to scrap all of this rust, which seems surface level, then put a coat protectant. I may to spot “painting” for now, then take to the dealer to have the entire underbelly done. Side note: the dealer has some sweet product ( not ziebart).
Honestly, I took the wheel off because I get a clicking sound on the front driver side wheel when I hit the brakes. Still can’t find the cause.
I m in NJ and unfortunately our winters are tough on the vehicles undercarriage. I just bought a new to me GX and someone applied some goey oily stuff underneath to the frame rails. I plan on washing it off and my plan was to apply the Amsoil MP spray after watching LegitStreetCars on YouTube swear by the stuff. I look forward to seeing what you went with and how much you were quoted!
Next time I order from Amsoil I'll grab some of this to try out.
Been using Fluid Film for years it does an incredible job of stopping rust but I'm not married to it if something is better I'll use that. Problem is it takes years to find out.
I did extensive research on rust prevention products, including by watching Project Farm.
First, absolute best product you need is one that contains cosmoline. It is a pretty harsh and waxy material but it is amazing for rust prevention. This is what submarines have been coated with to keep them from rusting in the sea. A great way to get a product with it is by getting the CRC Marine Heavy Duty Inhibitor. It sprays out of a can, it dries to a yellow but translucent waxy substance. It does not make a mess like fluid film. I love that it doesn’t have tint because I want to make sure I can see what it happening underneath. Try not to spray it on your exhaust or it will smoke a bit, but you can just put some aluminum foil over the exhaust while you spray. Check it out, this stuff is the best. Just wear a mask of course while spraying.

this is spot on. You can get it from Amazon and it’s about $13/can. Search for RP-342
Looking at a pre-owned 2019 GX, dealership sent some underside photos, how do you guys think of rust, it is a tri state northeast car so plenty of snow/salt during winter time. Thanks in advance.
