Hey, for the front grille and emblems, I had it plastidipped and all the chrome pieces were wrapped in black vinyl. The bull bar was Vanguard and I don't remember where I bought it.

Thank you so much for the info! Do you have to remove the grill for plastic wrap or you just did it in a shop.

Wow!! That is a beautiful beast you have there...
I know you are going to get questions about this so I might as well ask now, where did you get the fender flares from?
Thanks.

Thanks for the nice comment. I bought the no-name Chinese made fender flares from some online auto accessories store in Saudi Arabia (weird I know). I forgot their name. The flares are designed for Land Cruiser Prado 150. So, there were a lot of cutting, trimming, and modification on the flares and body panels (different profiles) to make them fit. I also drilled the body to bolt-on the flares permanently. One of a kind, so far, I guess. It's been a blast modifying and off-roading the rig

Any good auto mechanic shop could replace the springs and shocks for you - also need a good wheel alignment afterward. If you're going to lift 2.5"-3"+, then aftermarket UCAs such as SPC (mine) are recommended. Check for Toyota specialized shops as the GX suspension is the same as 4Runner.

Default Not a normal chrome delete question.

So I have a Fire Agate 460. The one thing that I’ve been kind of meh about is the chrome trim. I love the brown paint but not feeling the chrome and blacking it all out isn’t going to look right either. I’m wanting more of a gunmetal or black/chrome but not sure the best option to archive this. Just a strait up vinyl wrap or something like a Smokey headlight tint film. Don’t really want to drop tons of $$ on cosmetics since tires and suspension is more important. Any thoughts or experiences with this route?

Or

Maybe match the color as close as possible or custom color?

Thank you. I had no idea there were that many choices. Luckily I know a 3M rep. I guess I’ll see about getting some samples. Thanks for the input.

Default Grille and Tires

Love this look. Working on doing this to my ‘08 GX470 in white.

Hard to tell from the photos, but did you go all black on the grille or did you leave some chrome horizontal stripes?

Also, did you do glossy or matte for the black powder coated wheels?
