Just clean the glass and headlights at gas stops on road trips, lord knows they happen often enough with this guzzler
was asked for, even mandated. ECE requirement in order to reduce glare. UN requirement also, and we know the UN gets a lot of similar vehicles. also prevents housing damage in certain areas of the US/Canada.
Very helpful to me in the winter.

Lexus should provide an easy way to disable them for certain areas/people

another option could be to pinch the line

(edited to correct this post. originally it appeared to me that the washer didnt work and he was inserting a conductor to bypass the fuse. we've been told that this is not the case. I eat my DO NOT DO THIS words. yumm tasty!)

the video looks like he is insulating one of the fuse ends so that the circuit is no longer complete. Kapton tape or some other method to isolate a terminal will open the circuit.
another method ive used in other circuits is to remove the component with the blade (relay, fuse, etc). then use a small flat screwdriver to flatten the retaining tab on the fusebox terminal, then push the terminal back into the fusebox. this is a more permanent solution that will take extra effort to undo.
another option is to short the fuse on a bench with a power supply. this blows a fuse and disables the circuit.
another option is to cut off the component leg so it cant plug in.

I havent done this on the washer circuit so understand that what i wrote above is in general for any circuit.

As long at the insert is nonconductive (and doesnt damage the parts somehow) then it should work.

The video cancels the action of the water sprinkler and does not connect it

ah ok. then that piece he puts it isnt conductive. that would work.
by insulating one end of the fuse it does the same as blowing the fuse which should disconnect the power.

i WAS saying that. Since I didn't know what he was saying, and didn't see and before/after actions, there was an assumption to be made one way or the other about the insert. Went with the call that would be safest. Couldnt really see if the insert covered both terminals or not, and didnt know about the conductivity either.
if an insulator then it can be on one or both terminals and it will open the circuit.

Apparently a single wire cut turns off the auto headlight washer function. Manual activation still works.

Default Headlight washer assembly replacement

Brand new member here. I have a 2015 gx 460 and bought the headlight washer spray assembly as mine broke off in car wash. Does anyone have any instructions as to how to remove the old one and replace it? I have replaced the cover before which is simple but need to replace the entire internal assembly. I am hoping I don’t have to remove the bumper. Can’t find any videos or instructions anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

IIRC on my '12 one could do this without removing bumper cover and assume the same is true on '14+. FSM shows this.

Default Headlight washer assembly replacement

Thank you. I will just have to really poke around and see if I can get to it without removing the bumper cover but that appears to be step one in the instructions sent. It looks like a project where I might spend more time trying to figure out how not to remove the bumper cover than it might take me to remove the bumper cover! I will say that the part cost me 20 bucks and the dealer version was something like $348 retail. I’m not sure I really care if it works. I have already spent more time on this worthless feature than the rest of the vehicle combined.

I actually have the opposite issue. Seems like my headlight washes no longer engage, possibly need to check the fuses and all the cables/hoses?

I know this is slightly off-topic, but does anyone have the pin-out for the switch connector for the headlight washer? I've put in a 2-button switch (for a lightbar), and want to have washer function on the 2nd button.
