Hey Folks -

Can anyone tell, if the GX premium trim comes with automatic high beams or not? The car dealership gave me the specs sheet says it comes with Automatic LED Low-Beam Headlamps with LED Daytime. Is this the same as automatic high beams or does this only comes in Luxury trim. Please let me know.

Auto headlamps is referring to the twilight sensor turning them on and off when sensing light and dark.

Intelligent high beams are the ones that detect oncoming cars and shut off. Only available on luxury trim with the driver support package.

 

Damn that's a huge drop. I've the intelligent high beam in my 17 RX which I love.I'll miss that in GX

 

Yeah its a cool feature. Can you adjust the sensitivity of it? I had a 17' RX loaner and played around with the intelligent high beams but i felt they stayed on a little too long for my taste before switching to lows.

 

I don't think you can adjust the sensitivity as I haven't seen any buttons to do so. I love that over the wide turns and where you don't even have street lights.

 

That's one of the reasons I like the AFS on the HIDs... not sure why they did away with that on the LEDs for '14+. I know out of US there are the dynamic LEDs though that can do the same thing but currently restricted by some old US lighting law.
