2023 GX 460 Running Board Removal
Any chance anyone knows of a thread discussing the removal of the GX 460 Running Boards ?
I just for the first time test drove a '22 GX. I love the vehicle but I can already tell that the rubbing of my pants on the running boards getting out of the vehicle is going to get old very quickly. I assume they're just bolted on but what I'm unsure about is any underside trim that would otherwise promote more chance for rust.

It’s easy to get them off, but it looks stupid without them unless you reinstall the trim and cut it (or order the JDM Prado non-running board pieces).
just search GX460 running board delete and there is a good YouTube video.

There is a lot of articles and videos on YouTube removing the running boards. On the Gx460 they must be cut if you want to properly protect the body under the door. The GX470 they can just be un bolted. I have removed them on both a 470 and on my 2011 GX460. Mine are cut and I am running rock sliders.
