Hi all,

I live in Arizona and have the need to lock my '14 GX460 while the engine is running. Does anyone have any information how I may do this?
Key fob won't lock and neither will the door handle sensors while engine is running.

What am I missing?

Don't know if this would work for you but I can unlock the driver door with the metal key, start the truck, exit and lock the door with the metal key.

 

Make sure you roll down your windows when testing in case you get locked out.

 

You could do it with a remote start that the dealer can install. Once you open the door when you enter the vehicle, the engine will shut off.

 

It is designed that way to prevent anyone from locking their keys in the vehicle by accident.
As mentioned before, I believe you can use the metal key to lock and unlock wile running.

Thanks all, Locking and unlocking with the key works for me....

 

Do you have Enform? If you press the lock button 3 times than hold it on the 4th push for 30 seconds it will remote start your car.
