There is no switch to turn this off or on per manual. I dont recall any way of turning this off also on both of my gxs
Look in your Owner's Manual for a 2014 on Page 578-579. I have attached the section for you as well. Clearly it is possible and I have done it.

Thanks for giving the secret "HOLD" instruction I have pressed the buttons on my steering wheel 100 times but never held anything so I gave up earlier on this thread. I will not miss that pesky green light. Not that I saw it much

Yes, thank you! This worked for me, as well. I skimmed through the owners manual several times looking for this.

Update: I think I did hold the button but I was driving. I realized today that the function is not available with the vehicle in motion.

Maybe you shouldn't own a GX/drive like a ***** if that is your attitude

It's just a light, you have the power to use less gas if you choose

(Woah...take it easy there.... Unless I misread your message, but...) There's certainly nothing wrong with a bit of gut check. In an age where hybrids/EVs are the norm.....cars like the GX/LX make us look like dinosaurs living on borrowed time....

If GX vehicle package came in the hybrid form, I'd be all over it.

Spend a couple months with eco light on and report back with your thoughts

I keep mine on just to keep me mindful of how I am driving. The light doesn't bother me at all.

Will do.

I should mention that I drive with one eye on the MPG gauge as part of my habit anyways…So although I do not have an ‘eco’ light on my current car…I always try to hit/maintain 30mpg on any given trip. People just fly by me...and that's okay....it's all in the attitude. Drive safe...and watch for idiots.

Are you asking to disable the "Eco" light in the dash? Eco mode isn't really a mode but just an indicator showing that you're driving somewhat economically.

If you want to turn off the light, see this post by Randy:

Default ECO Mode

Hi,
New to this forum and Lexus as well. We just turned in our second Toyota highlander and picked up a 2017 GX 460 (Premium) for my wife. She loves the car but has mentioned that the pick up is a bit slow, her highlander was much better at it. I drove the car a few times and noticed the ECO light always on as you drive it, knowing what it is I attempted to find a way to turn it off but have been unsuccessful, do not see any buttons or anything else to turn it off. Did some research online (how I found this forum) but found nothing useful. Is there a way to turn it off in the 2017 GX and if so, how would we go about it?

Thanks,
Igor
