Hey yall, I have a quick question regarding tire sizes, I am looking to get KO2s for my 2011 gx460 and taking it off roading I have no mods on it what so ever. Question is if I buy stock tire size of 265/60/18 will it rub in any way? I know its a weird question, but I have always bought stock tires.
Also what other sizes could fit the GX460 without any mods to the SUV.
Shouldn't have any problems. I believe you can go up to 265/65 and still be fine. After that you'll probably have a bit of fender liner/side step contact at certain points. Here's another thread that will help: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...-thread-9.html. You should consider searching for more. "What's the biggest tire I can fit without rubbing?" is perhaps the most common question anyone asks here.
Once you pick your tire, get out and have fun. These rigs are very capable with A/T tires even in stock form.
Those 17" TRD wheels look great. ?Does anywone on this thread have a recommended place to look for TRD wheels, and ?would the TRD wheels for a sequoia or land cruiser work for the GX wheel setup?, -Im looking to replace the stock 18" wheels also, and would prefer 18-18 switch, (or might consider 18-17,) with a slightly larger tire to keep the tire weight and handling closer to stock.

Sequoia and LC have a different bolt pattern. 4Runner and FJ Cruiser wheels will fit. Tacoma too, I think.
There are lots of aftermarket TRD style wheels out there nowadays.
I am having a hard time finding the Micheline Defender for the Luxury Package Size: 265x55x19. Anyone else having trouble finding tires for the Luxury package?
Goodyear Wrangler MT/R 33x10.5R17 on FJ Cruiser Steelies.
I ended up going the utilitarian route and am super happy with the results. The Goodyear's aren't the best riding tires, but it goes anywhere in any condition and still handles quite well now that I have sorted the tire pressure, at least 41 PSI for road.
No lift yet, pulled back front and rear of front wheel well liner with zip ties 3 months ago, it gets occasionally light rub at about half lock when accelerating or deccelerating. 2015 GX460 / No lift / 33x10.5R17 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R
Question about size I did not find information about:
Does anybody use 285/60 R18 instead of 265/65 R18?
285s have 31.46" diameter vs 31.54" in 265 however 285s are obviously wider.
Will they rub (considering stock rims/no lift, etc)?
Lucky enough to get these from local FB Marketplaces. Fsport wheels with Toyo Tire Open Country A/T III 275/65 R18. They are almost new (less than 1K miles). All I had to do is to remove the inner bolt(s) of running board. No rubbing so far. Very happy with them.

Did you get all 5 wheels? How much, if you don't mind sharing?

Just 4 wheels and tires. I got them for a little over $1K from local FB Marketplace.

Looks great, and that’s an awesome price! I’ve been lurking on OfferUp and Craigslist every day for a set of either the dark gx wheels or the TRD wheels. I figured the F sports are so rare they’d be a unicorn to find.

Have you tried anthracite plasti dip? I have 15,000 miles on the plastidip job I did on my GX’s factory 18” rims. I’ve only had to touch them up a couple times when I get the tires rotated and they’re a little sloppy with their tools. They make it a different colors but that particular color makes it look very close to the darker oem wheel color. I’m probably going to do the same to the silver one because it has the factory darker wheels but not the really dark wheels.
