Considering the hub assembly is the same for '10-'17 I see no reason they won't fit.

Michelin Latitude Tire Experience

Took my 2017 Gx460 in for its 5K service (they rotate the tires, adjust the floor mats, and wash it) and I said to the service guy that it looked to me as if the tires are wearing pretty quick. His response was "these trucks are pretty heavy - about 5,000 lbs. Don't expect these tires to last too long and no more than 20 to 25K miles on these tires. Is this really true? Seems very low....

Got rid of mine at 24,000 - hydroplaned terribly from day one, wore very quickly. Not just the worst Michelin but the second worst tires I ever owned and I am 66.

Don't know about the Lattitudes, but got 60k out of OEM Michelin CrossTerrains on my MDX (apprx 4,500 lbs). Replacements were Bridgestone Alenza HLs & got another 60k out of them too. Replaced those w/another set of Alenzas.

Sold my rx350 at 43k miles with the oem latitude. Tires were still good for another 5000-10000 miles. My gx460 has 23000 miles and the oem latitude still look good, maybe another 15k-20k miles....

I have 2 Latitude in the front and 2 Latitude HP in the back with around 8/32 thread on the truck from the previous owner. I caught the tailend of one of the wettest winter in Norcal history and I think the tires did well in heavy rains. I didn't feel any hydroplane nor spinning out.
However I do plan to replace them with either AT tires or Michelin Defenders when they wore out.
Question for those that had experienced with them, with 8/32 left, how many miles do I think I have on them before they need replacement?

I replaced my OEM Latitude Tour HP after 46k. I could have easily extracted another 5k or more as the tread was around 4 mm

I had Latitudes on my Acura SLX (rebranded Isuzu Trooper), and they were good to 60k, and I never noticed hydroplaning issues. That too, is a heavy vehicle,
I replaced them due to age/cracking, not sure how much tread was left, not much if I recall, probably almost at the tradewear indicator,
I thought they were a very good tire.

Still on my original Michelins at almost 40,000 miles. I should be good for 50-60k miles.

Off-road tires for 16 GX 460 recommensation

Hi! I am considering installing a set of off-road tires on my 2016 Lexus GX 460. I drive a lot of dirt roads with sharp rocks. Tire punctures are common on these roads.
I am curious if anyone installed something designed for off-road like BFGoodrich T/A KO2 or Bridgestone A/T Dueler REVO 2?
I do put about 15K miles on highways and 5K miles on dirt roads. Driving on stock Bridgestones always make me worry about punctures so I drive no faster than 10mph which takes a lot of time.

I know BFGoodrich has the best rating but it's a heavier tire that would further decrease mpg.
Is there anything else that will provide good protection including sidewall protection while be GX 460 compatible?
Any experiences with both ? Please share.
Many thanks in advance,

I personally cannot stand Bridgestone tires. I've never, EVER had a good set of Bridgestones so I'd steer clear of those.

You can't go wrong with the KO2. You can go up a couple sizes if you want and run a 275/65/18 with just a smidge of rubbing, or go up a tad and go 265/65/18 with pretty much no rubbing, or stay at the stock size of 265/60/18 with zero rubbing.

However, if you go up to 275/65/18 you can pretty much choose from any AT tire on the market. I'm kinda partial to Nitto tires myself.

As as far as the extra weight impacting mileage, it's an extra 10 pounds or so per tire. Not enough to really make much of an impact on your mileage. I wouldn't let the worry of worse mileage make your decision for you.

The new KO2 is nice and have very positive reviews. I'm curious on how loud they are after 15-20k or 50% worn down. The old ones are pretty loud after a few years.
I had Cooper Discover AT3 before on another truck and they were very quiet new but I didn't wear them down enough before the truck was total.

I don't want to start a new thread so just post it here since it's also tires related.

Anyone knows if the Falken Wildpeak A/T3 are really different from the A/T3W tires? on eBay discounttires is having a $75 Labor day visa card on the AT3. I also have a 15% eBay bucks that ends tonight too. So looking around $170 discount for 4 (prices at $580). Pretty good deal for 4 if the AT3 is just as good as the ones with W.

Black Rhino seems to be a popular choice for the GX. This was in front of the shop when I went to pick up my GX today. 22"
