Default Ribbon on the touch screen/LCD display

Does anyone know how to disengage this ribbon from the connector. This is basically what's preventing me from replacing the touch screen panel. I don't want to brake anything and don't know how to disconnect this.

These are some of thew pictures I took while trying to figure out how to replace the touch screen panel:

This is the damage done to the touch screen.

Touch screen is attached to the LCD display by for screws.

Damage from another angle.

I need to disconnect this ribbon to remove the touch screen.

Have no clue how to disconnect it.

Another view.

You take the top screws first and the touch screen/lcd comes down.

I don't want to damage the ribbon, all I need to do is disconnect it, some of these connectors are disengaged by pushing the tabs, or pulling them.

You think by pressing the clips it will release the connector?

Give it a try, it has to have a release and that looks like the obvious location. It may require a screwdriver to release it.

Thanks, I'll try that, now I need to find the correct part. I haven't been able to find the digitizer/display or at least the digitizer alone.
