Any issues with permanent damage from velcro glue? The company warns about not placing velcro onto leather. What about the material the rest of the cargo area is made out of? I think it might be leatherette or vinyl or something else.
Hi! I could swear I saw a while ago on this website an ad for GX460 cargo area protection including panels/mats for sides, back of rear seats and rear door.
I cannot find it anymore. Looking for a suggestion/recommendation for my new 2022 GX460 please. I am tired of my harbor freights moving blankets.
Infinite thanks in advance!
As @Siblue has noted... CanvasBack Liners. Have them on the both trucks and previous trucks. Great company service and they have a great product.
Can the vecro be removed without ripping off or discoloring platic/vinyl? This is a leased vehicle, so it has to go back without any damage from velcro

There is no velcro strips added to the cargo area and seatback covers, they stick to the carpet in the vehicle. Other panels like the rear hatch, and cargo area side covers may require adding velcro strips so they have something to grab to, you might try reaching out to Canvasback directly for questions about them, they are very good to deal with.
I prefer something like in the video below (for the 4Runner), but for the GX 460. I would still like to be able to use the 3rd row without having to take out my current floor liner and storing it in the garage.
FYI, everywhere I've looked so far, it says compatibility is only with the T4R. I know in the video the man says he sees Lexus on the sticker/label (assumed in the video it was for the GX), but I couldn't confirm that anywhere else. I watched other videos like it on YouTube with zero mention of the GX for compatibility. It really annoys me when I have to remove the rear liner (but not the tiny strip!) to put up the 3rd row.
Canvas back not good. Paid extra for the D-Ring cut outs on the cargo liner, only 1 lined up ok. The rest were...
Customer Support suggested to reposition the velcro, which technically works but then I'd have overlaps and gaps on the sides and the middle partition where the 3rd row is. Pics attached. Asked for exchange for a non cut-out ones, they told me to send it in and they will sew some velcro covers on the d-ring cut outs lol.
I'd expect this kind of fit from aliexpress, but hell even those might have a better fit.
So much for 200$+ made in the USA. Going to return these and get the oem lexus cargo mat instead until I find a better solution. Taking a loss on this one.
Sorry but you have to stretch them a bit more and work with them a bit to get them to line up. Will they ever be perfect...maybe not, but initially mine were lining up similar to yours until I started stretching and pulling to get them to fit. Putting them in the drier for a few minutes to warm up the fabric might help as well. They likely have a template that the material is cut from, so if it was a big deal everyone who ordered that option would be having issues.
Here is how mine line up. Not perfect, but very much acceptable imho.
The more I try to reposition it the more its eating and pulling up the fibers in upholstery carpet because the velcro they use is very strong. Not to keen on ripping more fibers out of the mounting area since my vehicle is new.
Good enough is not good enough when you're paying over 200$ in my opinion.

Well there aren't any other solutions that allow you to easily use the 3rd row yet protect the cargo area. You'll figure it out, just keep working with it like I did.

I'm not using this, but I agree 100% with you, not good enough for $200+ product, if it was a $50 I would accept it.
The pictures clearly show that they do not have proper measurement of the trunk/hook location

I don't really have a dog in the fight here, but the pictures clearly show what the problem is. You need to stretch the fabric as tight as possible to get it to line up right, plain and simple that is the answer. I get that you don't want to move it too much because of the strong velcro, but that is what needs to happen. Look at every single installed picture of canvasback products, and they are all scretched tight w/ very few loose spots.
I purchased the canvasback cargo liner. I concur- you need to stretch it to get everything to line up. Once you’ve perfected the fit, set it and forget it! Absolutely love this product. Only complaint from me - no grip to keep cargo from sliding around. I purchased this to replace the Lexus rubber mat and provide for a covering that is always present when using the 3rd row seats. The rubber mat was a PIA to remove every time I raised the third row seats, which I need for my family needs. Considering installing the rubber mat on top of the canvas back when I know I’ll be going long stretches without needing the 3rd row. Overall, very happy with canvasback.
