I had the balance issue with vibs and that has been resolved. This is not wheel related since it is at particular RPM only at various speeds. As soon as RPM are below/above the symptoms are gone.

I sometimes feel a slight vibration coming from the engine when climbing uphills, at around 2000rpm. But I think it's normal because the engine is just working harder. It could be an issue with the engine mounts; if they could absorb the engine vibrations better then the driver wouldn't be able to feel it.

Put the truck in 1st (then 2,3, etc.) gear and cruise at that RPM. If the vibration comes and goes in all the gears then it is not the tires/wheels. Tires and wheels have ALWAYS caused havoc on trucks and most Stealers are very bad at fixing it. I have seen vehicles go through many NEW sets of tires/wheels and were balanced multiple times and still could not fix it. Then they go to a good 4WD shop and the problem was fixed as soon as the wheels were properly balanced.

Did you have this problem before you had the other problem?

Did the gear thing, and it is always hit around the specified RPM.

Yes, from the beginning, but vibs from wheels were so noticable and ennoying, that didn't pay much attention to this

Get it to the Stealer and don't let them tell you it is normal. If you have to insist on taking another GX on a test drive.

Question Vibration at 65+ mph

The last couple thousand of miles I have spent fighting vibrations (especially in steering wheel. Symptoms: When you hit the 65mph mark I am getting slight vibration in the steering wheel. Also passenger chair start shaking substantially more. I assume the shaking is of the whole car, but I feel it the most through the wheel and probably where my brain focuses on.

So far to correct the problem:
- Dealer replaced couple tires which showed excessive weight (the truck came with Michelin HP)
- Wheels were scratched through not careful person, so they have replaced them with a set from a demo
- Dealer balanced wheels 3+ times and done alignment
- Problem was not going away, so I have decided to try different tires and have bough new Michelin MS2
- Discount Tire has done several wheel balances, but seemed that it helped for a day or so
- Meantime also bolts holding lug nuts broke three times while tighting them(don't know if the same one but at three different occasions). Supposly they have used spec pressure of 80lbs (83 Lexus recomemded)

Dealer concentrates on wheel balancing, and is not taking action outside of this. I told the dealer that the problem cannot be wheel related. I think the cause could be one of the three (previous GX470 issues found on internet):
- Wheel bearing in the hub issue
- Drive shaft
- Transmission excluded as vibs are in all gears
- something with steering.

I am awaiting a call from the dealer when the FTS person will at the dealer again so he can trouble shoot the car.

Looking for some ideas and potential next steps from friends here. If you have a similar problem, please share as well.

I think the vibrations are coming from the engine, so it might have something to do with the engine mounts. I've tried doing some hard accelerations a few times, and the seats (all of them) started shaking, although I couldn't feel anything in the steering wheel.

Sounds like tire/wheel balance. Many/Most Stealers have serious problems balancing truck (6 lug) wheels.

I assumed that and that is why I went to the Discount Tire (two different locations) after the dealer couldnt get it right. They have done the balance at least 5 times (couple times on orignal tires). The balance seemed better but for a very short time.

Make sure whoever balances your wheels uses a Hunter Road-Force balancer, and actually knows how to use the road-force function.
