Tundra transmission in Gx?
Hello everyone new to the forum. I was wondering if anyone has put in a transmission from a tundra into there GX. I read the that the transmission are A760F. The only thing I see is different is where the gear selector arm is. The GX is on the driver side on the transmission, the Tundra is on the passenger side. Is there a way to switch the gear selector arm from passenger side to driver side? Thank you in advance.

The AB60 is essentially an upsized version of A760F (kind of like the Ford 6R80 and 6R140), which also means it's a physically larger transmission.
I haven't done the swap or even looked into, but I'd imagine even if you figure out the shift linkage and transfer case actuation you'd still likely need custom length front and rear driveshafts.
You'd also likely want the transfer case out of a 200-series Land Cruiser/LX570 to retain fulltime 4WD.
I'm curious for the reason for considering the swap?
Do you plan on going turbo(s) or something and need the extra torque capacity?
The AB60 has the same exact valve body bore wear issues when the fluid is neglected, but both transmissions are capable of big mileage with proper maintenance intervals (30K drain/fill) and temperature management (auxiliary cooler).
The A760 isn't an inherently flawed transmission like most of the newer 8 and 10-speeds, it's flaw was the "sealed transmission" and "lifetime ATF fill" verbiage paired with no auxiliary cooler and very thin, easily oxidized factory ATF that combined to induce valve body wear/pressure loss when they're not serviced until well over 100K .... or until they get that P2714 code.
