Default Rear diff breather

First time I looked at this after 160k miles. Top part is loose, so I guess it is still in good condition (PN 93930 03031) But I did notice rust at top part of the bolt. After I took it off, cleaned it up and put it back, I noticed I can not screw it in all the way (14mm or 9/16). Given the rust, I figured it was about right. I don't want to overtightened it. Do u notice similar situation as well? Thx.

Looks like it was never screwed in to the hex to begin with , This is likely a tapered pipe thread so don't over torque it. I would not worry about it.
