If I get the cross bars from Lexus, will this basket fit my car on the OEM cross bars? I hesitate due to the cost, and I'm aware that car washes don't want add-ons on your vehicle. I am too short to wash the car without a ladder, which in itself causes a problem. Thank you for any help.

... these types of roof racks look the part, but make washing the roof close to impossible due to access. With only soap and rinse cleaning, layers of film will develop over time ... so some regular scrub action is necessary.
Yes, that is a consideration. Thank you. I know car washes aren't the best. I am 73, short, and climbing a ladder is risky. I am considering this, and there is more to it than meets the eye. Thank you.
