Unhappy 2021 GX Transmission issues

I purchased a 2021 Lexus GX 460 with only 27,000 miles on it. It had a hard shift around 60 mph that was determined to be a transmission selenoid. It was replaced and returned to me. About two weeks later I was driving and check engine light came on and trac off light. Took it back and it now had two transmission codes and one was still the original code which was a permanent code. They are now replacing the whole transmission luckily still under warranty. Does anyone have any issues like this? It seems crazy to get a new transmission after only 27K miles on a car and will that even solve the problem?

Defective transmission it happens I'm sure a replacement unit will solve the problem only concern is the techs installing without damaging anything else.

Well it's being done at the dealer, I sure hope I get the original warranty back on it.

I thought any Trans repairs were always nixed for full replacement (as in - Lexus dealers don't repair these)? So your dealer removed/disassembled the tranny, replaced a solenoid, and re-assembled/re-installed it?

I had some solenoid codes (slipping like crazy in all gears at 150K Mi or so), and they went directly with an OEM remanufactured replacement under warranty. Not a peep of issues since the swap (~15K Mi ago).

Reman Transmission = PN: 35010-35B70-84. The repair took over a month (sourcing the Tranny took awhile, and was shipped from FL to TX), but had a free loaner the whole time (and put tons of miles on it!)

Best to get this out of the way now - "Infant Mortality" failure in your case (or maybe "early adolescent mortality" with 27K )

These were the codes I got the second time. The permanent code was the first time. They did take it apart replace the solenoid and I drove it. Then the check engine came on again and got both these codes. They tried to replace the solenoid’s again but got an error code still. So now new transmission but it’s on back order. Have no idea when I get my car bacj

Solenoid replacement is pretty simple on most traditional auto trans. It's usually just pull the pan and it's right there in your standard RWD/4WD configuration. I can't say for sure as I have not dropped the pan on one of these but it's rarely are very difficult.
