Default Wheel Well Missing Screws?

I picked up a 15 GX and am getting an annoying rattle in the driver rear of the car. I’ve checked all the usual suspects and they do not seem to be the source.

I did find that the rear wheel well is missing either pins or screws. What is supposed to be in these holes? The other side has pins and the front has screws.

As a side note, should the USB ports charge a phone?

There are clips that go in those holes: https://parts.belllexusnorthscottsda...799-28010.html

With that said, I am a bit skeptical that this is the cause of the rattle.

Yes the USB should charge a phone however on a 2015 the port does not charge very fast due to low current. You are better off getting a USB port adapter that plugs into the 12V outlet.

Unfortunately, I doubt it will fix it either but I will replace the clips..I’m ocd like that. Thanks for the link! I was planning to place an order with Bell tomorrow so it’s good timing .

Any other thoughts on what may cause this? I went on a short ride sitting in the 3rd row and I think (not sure) the noise got louder when I took off the cover to where the jack is stored. It’s not the jack or mount (I took it out and held the clamps and still heard the noise when we hit bumps). I also tried bouncing the rear and when parked simulating bumps and could. It duplicate the noise. Could the be suspension related? We all thought it sounded like it was coming from near the taillight or higher….but….

The USB ports didn’t kick off the charging on my iPhone 15 when I plugged it in. It could be the cable. I plugged in an 12v adapter and changed to a USBC to USBC cable (meaning I did’t test the cable). I’ll have my daughter try it with the lightening cable I added to the car.

Here is an older thread regarding rear noise. Might be of some help.
