Transmission downshift delay / delayed power
2010 GX460 Base 180k miles
After turning and attempting to accelerate the RPMS rev, but no acceleration until it appears the transmission downshifts.
May be a separate or related issue, but upon acceleration up inclines at higher speeds, there is noticeable loss of power until the transmission shifts down.
Also - when slowing down at a stoplight for example, downshifting seems to be delayed.
Are all these problems related? What do you think it could be? Transmission fluid level is good, it isn’t 100% reproducible which makes it difficult for mechanics to troubleshoot, but it seems to be getting worse with time (over the last 6-12 months). Could it be the clutch fan? There are no errors codes showing that indicate anything with transmission, etc..
