Help decoding my codes/ CEL, Slip, 4LO flashing
Howdy,
I recently took over payments on my brothers 2011 GX. I am a former bus mechanic and am fairly competent at DIY repairs but this vehicle is kicking my butt. I’ve tried the Lexus recall/service campaign tool on the site and am getting error messages. I’ll try again tomorrow. So, I turn to the experts here for some advice.
I have replaced the following parts:
Napa brand gas cap
Napa brand canister purge valve
partsgeek Secondary Air Pump (it was damaged upon visual inspection but I did not open to check foam as this was day two of ownership and before I found this site/info)
currently I get the same CEL codes (along with CEL, Slip light, Flashing 4lo)
P2441
P0441
P0455
P0125
I don’t want to take the intake off in vain… you guys think I have a clogged/stuck switching valve? The codes don’t match what I’ve seen here from others who did have a clogged/stuck switching valve.
188xxx on the clock. Starts and runs fine.
CEL stays off for two drives but the same codes pop up on startup #3.
I’m prepared to take it to my local mechanic or a Toyota/Lexus specialist here in Denver to diagnose but figured I’d ask here first.
Any guidance or help is greatly appreciated!

There is an open campaign to replace SAIP (Valves and Air pump) components on 10-13 models
https://lexusgxor.com/_media/general...mpaign_jlg.pdf
P2441 - Secondary Air Injection System Switching Valve Stuck Closed Bank
441 and 455 are EVAP

You might have to smoke test on those if you can’t get them to go away
125 is coolant sensor related. How is your coolant level?

The coolant is low, pretty sure I’ve got the valley leak to deal with too. Yippee!
Smoke test sounds like a good idea, I’ll have my local shop do that this week hopefully.
for the open service campaign, I’m assuming I just call up my local Lexus dealer, tell them I have that code and need them to perform recommended repairs outlined in the service campaign?
I have never had a vehicle serviced at a dealer, this part is what I’m most nervous about - LOL.
thank you again for the information and help!
