Whoa, in that video the user scrolled with a finger swipe. How is that possible with our pre-2022 infotainment units? I've been trying to get that to work forever in my 2010 LOL.

 

finger swipe is always available even with my unit (Lsailt unit). What pre 2022 model does not have the multi touch capability, such as two fingers zoom in/out in map apps. Instead, you have using double tap for zooming in, and hold for zoom out.

 

ah ok i see the difference, there is a separate version for 10-13 which is less expensive. so it appears there are 3 prices 399, 439 and 598.
Any difference between the standard version for 10 - 13 vs the standard version for 10 - 21?

 

I cannot seem to get a swipe to work on my GROM.

 

Not familiar with Grom unit, maybe they do not support or eliminate certain function. There are few Grom users on this forum, maybe able to verify.

 

I was thinking of pulling the trigger on this unit but something feels inauthentic about the video. It feels like the guys in the shop are a green screen. The scaling between the guys and the GX feels off. And there's a still image of what looks like a boy in the left rear view mirror that's not moving. Got to go with my gut on this one and still no one coming forward as a user to give it the thumbs up.

 

I dunno about the green screen thing but that person in the side view mirror is absolutely not moving at all.

 

maybe the kid is some advert on the wall, who knows. Maybe the video is a remake or something, could be why there are different posters for the various videos.
But for me, im more interested in the product and not the video production. I want to support those who are active in the gx460 world, especially the older years.

I plan to try one of these maybe next month. These seem to be like a lot of other ali boxes, maybe this is a drop ship or they actually keep a few on hand. My opinion is that it is worth the markup to get a middle man instead of dealing direct overseas. Some of the items i have gotten direct end up bad, and the return/exchange isn't always the easiest. Often it just end up being a CC chargeback because the direct sales will stop responding.
Plus if the middle man actually has other customers they might have some work arounds which seem par for the course on these type items, especially when the product of application is new.

 

I wonder if the seller would consider offering a more enticing price for a group purchase… Just curious…
