Just bought a 2023 GX460 and trying to find the sweet spot as far as seat adjustment. I don't really feel like I need an accelerator pedal EXTENSION so much as a LONGER pedal. My foot slips off the gas pedal occasionally and is just uncomfortable because my foot has to reach for the gas pedal. Yes, I can scoot the seat closer and then move the steering wheel in, but then I can't rest my arm on the console which I like to do. The pedal measures 3 1/4" long inside and tapers to 2 1/2" outside and 1 1/2" wide. My husband's Tacoma's rectangular gas pedal measures 3 5/8" long by 1 1/2" wide. When I drive his Tacoma, my heel can rest on the floor and doesn't slip off the gas pedal. I know the obvious is to keep adjusting and I may find just the right combo. But just wondering if anyone out there has replaced the original gas pedal with a longer one or an extension. If so, where did you find one--can you tell me manufacturer or seller where you got it. I don't have a solution to your problem. However I will mention that you need to be careful about lengthening the acceleration pedal. In the Toyota/Lexus unintended acceleration affair and subsequent recalls back in 2010, pedal entrapment (on the floor mat) was cited as a factor. So check to make sure there is plenty of pedal to mat clearance.

 

If anyone is interested, I ordered this Tesla gas & brake pedal replacement and the gas pedal fits tightly over my GX pedal and gives it about 1" more length. Brake pedal does not fit. This was just enough to make the difference for me. I couldn't paste the actual link, but this is how it is listed on Amazon.
