Terrible Gas Mileage
Dumb question… I’m getting 10 mpg in my 06 GX470. Does something need to be fixed or just the driver?
Is the an App or a device that can help me get better gas mileage?

Seized front calipers are a problem on these trucks, you could make sure that isn't an issue as it sure won't help matters. What tire pressure are you running, and when was it last checked?

Same on our ‘07
I wrote to our service advisor to ask if O2 was the likely culprit. He said change gas stations. For context, we are in Atlanta metro. Kroger isn’t top tier gas.
I also suggested he’s got a lead foot. Surely that’s not it says he 😐. It’s been 95 degrees every day for a month and the dog days aren’t even here yet. Apparently the AC can burn some fuel foo. He’s only out in the heat of the day (RE appraiser). All stop and go driving as well.
In my ‘04 with me driving, gas mileage good, brakes good, tire wear good. But it does NOT have the VTTi engine. But that’s supposed fo improve gas mileage in the ‘05 and up.
would love your thoughts

There are lots of reasons, its a 2007, how many miles?
I suggest you or someone take a peek behind the throttle body, is there a lake of oil laying in there?
On my 2006 around 230kmi I did new injectors, that's when I noticed lake of oil laying in the intake, and then after removing the intake there was lots of sludge on some of the intake runners down into the ports on the heads. I spent quite a bit of time cleaning all the crap out, and installed a PCV oil catch can to help keep oil out of the intake. Since then I am up near 243kmi now, it seems to run better now (cleaned and new injectors).
I would also look at spark plugs, does any one of them show signs of issue? While the plugs are out put a bore scope in cylinders and see what the top of the pistons look like, are they clean or sludged?
Another key item is greasing the U and slip joints. Old thickened grease can impact MPG's.

I have an 05 LX470. My driving is semi stop and go city and averages 13-14mpg. I could easily see it go lower than that in an urban stop and go environment.
18--19mpg is about average on interstate travel. In my case, it is what it is. It runs very well, tuned nicely good air pressure. A Toyota Prius its not but it will go anywhere and I love it.

I didn't realize how long ago my post was...! I'm running 32psi. The GX doesn't stop on it's own when rolling (i.e. stuck calipers). I use Costco gas (top-tier) almost exclusively. It's $0,70 a gallon cheaper than my local Arco station. My wife does mostly freeway driving. Not lifted, stock tires.
What kind of gas mileage are other GX470 owners getting?
Is there an APP or aftermarket device to monitor or help improve gas mileage?

I track my mileage via Fuelly. Click the banner in my signature to see mine. You can also browse to see other GX owners by model-year.
Since the mpgs are reported by owners, they're "real world" numbers.

I drive just about 1000 miles per week. 05' 470 with 200k miles. 100% stock. I track my fuel religiously and averaged 16.7 MPG over the last year. 80% highway 20% city.
Pennsylvania so some mountains from time to time. AC running 8 months of the year. My maintenance is second to none.

I also track every tank with Fuelly.com, and my fuel economy has always tracked very closely to @chiph9 's, despite me living quite a bit further north with a lot of cold weather driving.
