Default GX470 135K miles

Just bought this. Front brakes need calipers & rotors. What's the usual range for shocks on these things? Replace shocks or shocks & springs? I've been reading about the rear air suspension. Thinking about strutmasters for parts. Any comments? I'm not up on metallurgy, are they right about cold rolling? Little baffled about the replacing of front air suspension, doesn't the GX470 only have rear air? https://www.strutmasters.com/product...ion-kit-tr1fb/

Thanks for writing. I'm looking for struts, rotors, & calipers on the front. Any suggestions on aftermarket?

i have been a gx owner for 17 years...swayed from OEM on brake parts and was sorry...went back to OEM and was much happier...two GX's total close to 300,000 miles so I have many brake replacements to go by....

Interesting. What price brackets did you go to? There's stuff out there that even I wouldn't use. Right now I'm looking through RockAuto.com.
Did you see any relationship between price and quality? I'm simply looking to maximize longevity & minimize cost. The only other parameter is noise, some brake pads appear to be almost experimental and turned out noisy.

local shop used centric brake parts....pad deposits on rotors vibration early...went back to toyota for OEM another time...got 50,000 trouble free miles from pads and rotors. I have replace calipers a couple of times...they were oem rebuilt

Just replaced the rear air suspension with Strutmasters on my 08 with 107K, highly recommend from a ride and value standpoint. They also provide instructions on how to trun off the "Air Ride" malfunction light on the dash.
