Default 05 GX is on the way. Want to do lift, rims and tires before Memorial Day

Hello to all in the GX family.
Saturday my 2005 GX with KDSS is going to be showing up here in SoCal and wanted to get going on right away. I love to have it ready for the family's yearly camping trip in Gold Point Nevada for Memorial Day

I have been all over the forums looking for info but i'm sure someone already knows what to get

I am thinking of a 2.5 lift and want to know what the biggest tire size will fit in the spare location i don't mind if its deflated.
I read there there are issues with the KDSS in the way.

I am thinking of going with 17 inch wheels but what tire sizes do I want? I don't mind trimming the liners or whatever else under there

I would also like to keep the running boards on

I really like the look of this rig but i would like to go just a tad higher
.

Thanks for all the advice and suggestions and look forward to sharing my build progress with you all!

I am about 2.5" lifted all around on Icons with 285/70/17 E tires. a full size spare wont fit in the stock area without deflating the tire as i read. I too have KDSS and you will most likely encounter the KDSS lean. Not much you can do to address the lean but someone is working on spacers to correct it. I also removed my rear KDSS sway to address the lean.

Maybe contact Brennan at Apache Off Road. He is great and has excellent follow through. You will find out some of the GX fabricators are very flakey.
