Ceiling Mounted DVD Player - malfunction
Our 2003 GX 470 has a ceiling mounted Audiovox DVD player and screen (all located in the ceiling, not the console) that stopped ejecting DISCs a few years ago. We have a disc stuck inside that we cannot get out therefore, we have not used the player in years. We recently (finally) took it to the Lexus dealership and they said it would have to be replaced entirely. However, because it is so old, they no longer have access to this replacement item. 1) where do I find a new player/screen all in one entertainment system? and 2) if I need to install this on my own, how do I do it?

I have a 2004 gx470 with rear entertainment system it was a factory installed option. My unit has no disk you insert in ceiling . The access for the disk is in the center console behind cup holders that is where the dvd player is. Your system must be a after market unit. The lexus dealers do not service after market accessories. I would take the advice previous given and go to stereo shop they might be able to remove disk and get you running again.
