Rear Cool switch not working?
Hi, in my 2009 GX470, the rear climate control works great, but only when the rear cool button is held down. Is this a toggle switch that is broken? Or is there a relay somewhere that has failed? I can replace the rear climate control switch assembly for around $50, but I want to be sure it is the switch that has failed. Thanks!

It's a toggle switch. Push on, it stays down. Push off, and it returns to the out position.
Could it be gunk trapped behind the button?

Simple fix to rear cool switch not working
This turned out to be very simple. The rear cool switch has thin plastic ribs between it and the adjacent buttons. One of these ribs had become damaged and bent somehow and was preventing the button from popping out enough to toggle properly. I pried and forced the rib back into place, and now the switch is back to toggling. Good as new.
