2005 GX470 - No power to HVAC, "Check air conditioner connection"
Help!!! HVAC has no power to climate controls in rear or front. When the climate button is pressed on the MFD it says "Check air conditioner connection". We have checked all fuses, replaced the magnetic clutch relay, removed MFD and checked all connections. I know the blower motor is good because I pulled it out and tested it...
So here's the scenario, my rear height control sensors needed to be replaced a few weeks ago. I had driven to a friends and it was quite a bumpy ride as the rear was literally sitting on the bumpers. When I turned the car off the A/C was working fine. When I cranked the car to leave, we heard a weird clicking noise and the a/c cut off. About 3 days after that, it randomly came on but after I turned the car off I haven't been able to get it back on at all. The clicking is what led me to check to the magnetic clutch relay and the blower motor. I can't visualize anything that looks disconnected. Now, I am an extremely handy lady, but electrical is not my forte. Hubby has checked behind me on everything and can't see any thing either... Please tell me there is something I am missing.... I CANNOT afford to take it in. I have now paid two separate a/c guys to check over and neither see anything. So I am going with electrical... any advice????

We ended up having to pay to have diagnostics done at the Lexus dealer. A/C amplifier was bad. They quoted us &1200.00 for parts and labor. I actually ordered one off eBay, removed the old one, and replaced it myself. $200 for the amplifier (from noteable company with a warranty) and about 2 hours of my time ;-)
