Broke the clip on my Engine Air Filter box. Help!
So I was checking the Air Filter on my new to me 2009 GX470 and had an issue with the box.
The tab on the top section of the box (right side) broke off so there's nothing for the metal clip to grab onto. It clipped down on the left side.
I'm trying to decide if it's ok to leave it like that or if anyone else has had this issue? I don't really want to pay Lexus $500 for a whole new assembly.
I did start the engine and got no errors from vacuum leak.

Duct tape. Good enough for planes.....
If the airbox has no visible leaks or exposure forget about it. Duct tape it if necessary, or if this event has caused you sleepless nights, junkyard expedition.

If you decide to replace it -- it looks like the air cleaner is only available as an entire assembly, for around $400. You might try a parts yard.
