265/60/18 on 18x9 rims....
will this make it a tad too stiff? The 20" rims I had with 265/50/20 were too still and I want to go back to stock but with a small upgrade. How would comfort be on this wide of a wheel?

I'm running 285/60/18 tires on 9" wheels and my GX doesn't ride any stiffer than it did when I had the stock 17s on. Your ride will improve A LOT compared to the 20's you're running now since you'll have a wheel that's 2" smaller in diameter (more tire softer ride) and your tire will be approximately 1" taller too.

thank you for the input. I want to clarify that I am looking into 265 width not 285. I am tempted to do that larger size but I don't want to have to trim anything. I was thinking about 275 as well which would bring my speedo closer to gps. The main question is will a 265 on a 9" rim make it too stiff?

Sorry I thought I read 285. 265/60/18 is the same diameter as the stock tires (approximately 30.5") so yes compared to stock it will ride a little harsher since you're loosing 1" w/ the larger 18" wheel but it will not ride as harsh as your 20s do now.
