Dummy 02 sensors in D.C. area?
Hi
I've heard you can get dummy 02 sensors to trick the ECU into thinking everything is OK with the cats (I removed mine).
Anyone know where you can get them in the Washington DC area?
Thanks!
Eric

contact PPE engineering. They can either sell you the 02 extenders or 02 Conditioners (for offroad use only, of course).
The 02 extenders will physically place the 02 sensors further from the exhaust flow, thereby reducing the amount of gasses that they read. THis is somewhat unpredictable if it will work or not, and many users have reported that it doesnt work 100%.
PPE has since started sending these 02 "conditioners" that get wired inline from the 02 sensors to your ecu, tricking the ecu into thinking the cats are there and the 02 sensors are reading correctly. I have had these conditioners installed on my IS350 for almost a year without a single problem. What I'm not certain about is wiring schematics, as I'm sure there will be some differences in configuration from the IS line to the GX line.
