Dog ate my rear mud flaps-help a newbie
So I've had my 08 GX a couple of years and still digging it. a Feew months after my purchase my Rhodesian Ridgeback pup developed a plastic fetish and after taking out the wiring of my new camp trailer, irrigation system and several hoses decided the mud flaps looked tasty. I think it's safe to replace them now and I was wondering if there was a source other than the dealer for these type of parts. I couldn't find any on mylexparts.com site that advertised on the forum. Looking for 2 rear titanium mud flaps in good condition.

Thats really funny, but being a dog owner I completely understand. I had a dog with a wood fetish and he caused some major furniture damage. Not to mention a random hole in the drywall of my bathroom. That one still boggles my mind, what made him pick that particular spot?
As far as the flaps the dealer is going to be your best bet probably. If your really patient something might turn up. Since this is a painted piece its going to be even harder. These trucks arent getting parted out or turning up in many junkyards. You might get lucky though, call a local junkyard that has access to a parts locater system.

Thanks Mike. Your dog probably smelled a mouse hiding out in the bathroom wall. The bad boy who chewed my flaps is pictured on my response to the bike rack thread if you're interested. He's the big one. The other ridgeback is a stray that wandered in from the desert almost dead and 25 pounds lighter than he is now. What are the odds of that? I think I'll just order the flaps and schedule a drive shaft replacement at the same time.
