Yeah, I don't know if there are different versions of the lean sensor. Perhaps the later versions are more sensitive.

Why would you turn it off in 4H. It's meant for tippy situations. That would only happen in 4L. I doubt it works in 4H.

Mine works in 4H. Can't imagine why you would want to do that.

only off road, and only if you're going to be pushing the truck at extreme angles.

Yes, you definitely want the side-curtain airbags to work in an accident, so don't disable them unless you're off road and are travelling along hills (mostly on a side-slip).

Apparently, it takes an extreme lean angle to trip the side bags. I've been off-road doing some pretty radical stuff and the side curtains didn't trip. (Sometimes I forget to hit the switch.) I had a Ford Bronco that would shut down the engine if it hit a big bump, then you had to reset the 'inertia switch' get going again. One day, we rolled the Bronco (landed wheels down) the engine was still running like nothing happened.

The GX470 side curtains automatically turn back on if the engine is shut off and restarted. Keep that in mind if you're off-road and stop for awhile.
