Transfer case leak
I own a 2003 lexus gx470 with 55k miles on it. I recently took it in for an oil change and a couple of days after the oil change i noticed what seems to be oil dripping from around the transfer case. There seems to be a black box attached to the transfer case and i think that is where the oil is coming from. Any suggestions on what it might be or how it can be fixed?

Transfer Case leak, I believe it is a re-seal if not a replacement of the transfer case.

Is this an issue Lexus is addressing regardless of whether it is leaking or not or does it have to leak to qualify?

Does anyone know if the TSIB actually exists for this problem?

I know it exists for the 03 04 models, they may have fixed the issue after that.

I would tell my tech it's leaking and he would fix it. They fixed mine without me ever asking and I have never had any leaks in my driveway.

I know it's semi-dead thread to bump, but does anyone have the TSIB code for this?
I'm possibly picking up a used GX later today or tomorrow & I want to make sure it's had all the recals taken care of.

What are the pre symptoms of a bad transfer case? and what years does the recall effect?
