Thanks for the steps. WOW...a lot of steps.

Lexus of Westminster will program the key for $55...well worth the money b/c it will take me 30 mins to study then do the steps above properly. $55 includes a car wash.

Sorry guys, i am new to this forum, I searched many many pages on this form and I still can't find this information.

I just purchased a 2007 GX470 and it only came with one master key. I purchased a master key on eBay and was hoping to find the instructions to program the remote.

Can someone please post the instructions or a link that has it.

Thank you so so much!

Also , where can I get the key cut in the NYC area at a reasonable price?

I tried 2 different brands of aftermarket remotes on my wife's 2005 GX. Couldnt get either to program. I bought remotes from Lexus and had no problem programming the remote or adding the transponder code to the ecu. Techstream is the easiest way to add remotes, and will tell you how many you have and allow you to erase old ones.

Default need help with 2007 GX FOB

I have a 2007 GX470. But only one remote. I bought a OEM Lexus remote 89070-60801 off ebay. I took it to a locksmith to cut it and program it. The programmed the chip to be able to start the car and manually work the locks. But the could not program the FOB remote lock/unlock functions.

I tried the instructions found elsewhere in the forum for DIY programming FOB involving, inserting the key, opening and closing the door, etc. Also, no success despite many tried at this. In the end I get two locks/unlock telling me it was unsuccessful.

Any other suggestions for getting the FOB remote lock/unlock buttons working?

Thanks.
Yes. These are the instructions I have tried myself. Each time at the end, I get the two cycles indicating it did not pair.
I have tried at least 6 times, using different pace of steps, hoping maybe a few seconds might made a difference.
I'm thinking I got a dead OEM remote.

Resurrecting an old thread, I have the same issue as CLL with two aftermarket keys. I was able to reset the immobilizer and add these two keys as masters using techstream. They will start the GX, but I cannot get them to register for the wireless controls. The door open/close (chicken dance?) method goes into registration mode, but I get two cycles signalling failure every time with either key. Also using either of the registration methods in techstream results in a timeout failure (adding new or removing all existing).

Any help or thoughts are greatly appreciated.
