5K is my favorite color with these HID bulbs--so crystal white!! You will like them over the 4300K

I received my new HID 5000k bulbs today, and installed them right away. Weird thing is the light output is even more yellow than my aging 4300k bulbs, almost as yellow as my stock halogen fogs. What’s up with that?!

Sorry to hear you are experiencing an issue with your 5000k HID bulbs but I can further help you out. Normally we recommend allowing the HID bulbs to settle in which can take about 100 hours of usage. If there is no change after this, please send us an email with your order info and pictures of the color you are getting for us to further review.

Thanks for the response Danny. I sent an email this morning, but will hold off as suggested to let the new bulbs settle.

Purchase 07/05/17 my kit.

H11 HID Kit | Xtreme HID
[HID Color & Bulb Options:6500K]

I wished I had installed it earlier, I love it! Thanks to the forums to all the advice. I was able to install it leaving the battery in putting the ballast under the fuse box.

6500K is a bit too white for me. I like the 4K bulbs.

On these kits, the small ballasts can be mounted directly to the fender on each side as there is plenty of open space next to batt and on passenger side, etc. Just hold ballast in place, mark with sharpie, drill small hole, use stainless sheet metal screws.

Sorry to revive an ancient thread, are these still available? What do people recommend for HIDs these days?
