O2 Sensor Removal, Help
How do you wrench on the upstream O2 sensors. I have new ones to install, not sure how to wrench on them as they are tucked up high.
I have a slotted O2 sensor socket, just not sure how to get ratchet to fit in there.
I was going to use some Kano on the old sensors and let that sit overnight, but can't even see a way to squirt some Kano on them.
Even the connectors appear to be a pita to reach and undo. I see some u toob vids of GX470 O2 revoval, but some GX's have sensor facing kinda down, 2006 has it facing up on the inside side of the pipe, pita.
So how is this done?

I have tools for the job, just trying to figure out where to get into the space.
I see most do it through the wheel-well. I will go this route.
The sensor seems to be the easy part, undoing the connector seems to be the real pita part.

So, today dove in and did the passenger side.
Yep, a royal pita getting the connector off. All done via wheel well.
The small push-down tab is on the backside of the wire harness connector. That side is also clipped into a small blade bracket. I ended up pulling the harness side off the blade bracket which gave a little more room to try and get hands in there. I ended up jamming two hands into the space to push tab and pull O2 connector.
At 257kmi the connector was a bit less loose, but it did finally pop out. But pita, they even have a small J hook that holds the sensor wire, and it directly between sensor and connector, making it even harder to get hands in there.
Getting sensor out was super simple, felt kinda not tight enough IMHO. I did add a few drops of Kano and let that sit for about 1hr.
Simple tools to get the job done. I have the 22mm OEMTOOLS socket. The only thing I dont like about this socket, they put a big taper on the end of the socket, not sure why, O2 sensor "nut" is fairly thin.
Socket and just some long straight extensions gets the job done.
The OEM original sensor looks fairly clean, but tired.
