Default CV Axle Warning

The Cardone # 665235HD items. Had one fail on me. This # has the HD thermoplastic boot item. Boot ripped, doing a RMA under warranty.
Installed July 2018, failed July 2021, went just shy of 64kmi, all ez driving. PITA in regards to now having to dig into it again. In comparison, the OEM axles (boots) lasted 181kmi.

Not sure what the passenger side will bring me, installed that one approx 14mo after the driver side one.

So, just an fyi.

Thanks for that update. I just installed these this spring. I put about 5000miles a year on my truck so using your numbers that would be like 12 years of driving.

I get that OEM is better but for $80 an axle 60+k miles isn’t too bad IMO

I gave up on Cardone some have been great others complete garbage. If at all possible re-boot your OE axles.

I have my OEM's, I just didn't re-boot them yet, didn't think the Cardone items would fail this soon.

60kmi for maybe the neoprene boot, but the HD thermoplastic boot should go much longer.
Yeah, I am doing like 20kmi/yr, just passed the 255kmi # and still going. Engine itself seems ok, the rest around it needs small amounts of work on ongoing basis, body/frame/paint all 100%.
