Question Subwoofer & Rust

Hey everyone - new to this forum but have been lurking for awhile. Such great information on here. Just recently picked up a 2008 GX470 with 136,000 miles on it and well cared for. I have two questions:

1.) Are there companies that sand or scrape and then trust underbody rust or is this a DIY project? I have some rust on the underbody and would like to slow this process down.

2.) Is there a way to turn town the ML subwoofer base? Seems too strong for my liking and I don't know how to adjust the subwoofer settings.

Thanks!

You're probably the first person to complain about too much bass from the ML system...
Have you gone into the audio settings on the touchscreen and adjusted the bass level there?

Also - it's possible that the foam on the sub has decayed and you're not hearing bass - you're hearing the cone scrape against the supports.
You can DIY this replacement via a kit sold by Simply Speakers. Around $25 and a weekend's work.
