Default GX Rubber Brake Line Replacement

How long do the rubber brake lines safely last on the GX?
I know some Lexus vehicles come with Kevlar inner-lined brake lines and are are actually rated better than braided stainless lines. Does anyone know if the later model GX 470's came OEM with the kevlar (rubber covered) lines?

I don't know, but I'll be doing brakes soon and will change mine at that time (17 years is .. about enough for me)

Prices for OEM seem to be $40-50 each, and the GX needs 6 of them (one at each wheel, and two more to go from the body to the axle tube in the rear)

I can't say how long the rubber hoses should last, but I've had a hardline to one of my front calipers rot out and fail on mine already...so the rubber hoses are probably overdue, lol.

Yikes! Did the pedal drop to the floor and lose a lot of braking power?

It actually happened while I was working on the brakes, so it meant it stayed up on jackstands until the part came in and could be replaced. Could have been a much more serious failure had it happened while I was driving!
