One of my lights was out on the left running board, decided to replace everything with LEDs. I inspected and corrosion of the light adaptor was the culprit in the rear. When replacing the front left bulb with an LED, the light housing bracket disintegrated.

anyone do this repair? I know lots of people replace these with rock sliders but I want to stay stock and the kids find it helpful to get it.

does anyone have a part number for the metal bracket the holds the light assembly?

 

I've never seen where the metal brackets for the lights were available on their own. Your best bet is to join FB group GXOR and look for someone cutting their side steps off (it's very common among those who wheel these trucks), and strike a deal to purchase the parts you need to keep your side steps in service.

 

Man I just threw mine away! I had them sitting around for a while!
