I’m shopping for my first GX. I’ll be getting something between 06 & 08. After browsing the forums it appears that I shouldn’t be surprised or turned off by trucks that I find that have cracked dashboards. It’s just the reality of these trucks, especially in Southern California right?

No, absolutely not. While many have the cracked dash, most should have been replaced under warranty. If you find one that still has the cracked dash, I would be concerned that the previous owner didn’t follow warranty/recalls and probably didn’t do proper maintenance on the vehicle.
The market for GX470's has gone nuts this past year, compromises are required to come away with a good deal these days. A cracked dash would suck, but it's a lot better to deal with than rust...
Thank you for the replies. I am going to keep looking but I think I have resigned myself to the fact that I am just going to be paying a higher price in this sellers market. I definitely want a GX and I plan on keeping for at least the next 5 years. Im not planning on making money on it. I just want to find a decent ride and feel too much pain in my backside, if you catch my drift.
It looks like between 13 and 15k is where I am going to find most of the "good deals."

I bought mine with a cracked dash and to be honest I don't even notice it. When I do it's so insignificant that I don't really care. It's not a show car so if you can use it to lower the price I would.
